The Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be giving an outdoor concert this evening at Schlathaus Park, sponsored by the Town Of Wappinger Recreation department. Admission is Free, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets. If it should rain, this concert may be held the next day (check this Facebook event).
The 75-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be performing a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Highlights will include: selections from John William's "E.T", "Harry Potter", and "Star Wars" soundtracks, a medley of tunes from "Wicked", and "When You Wish Upon a Star". The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas.
Schlathaus Park is located at the intersection of County Route 93/Myers Corners Road and County Route 94/All Angels Road (click on the map).
