Get ready to make a splash for a purpose at the Southern Drip Day Party — a high-energy community celebration recognizing Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and the importance of HIV education, prevention, testing, and breaking stigma across the South. Hosted by Evolve Tampa Bay, the Hillsborough County Planning Committee, and the Central Florida Ballroom Collective, this event brings culture, community, and wellness together in one unforgettable experience.
Join us on Sunday, August 23rd from 4PM–8PM at Casa V.M. Ybor for an afternoon filled with good vibes, connection, and celebration. Guests can enjoy the pool, live DJs, dancers, performances, free food, giveaways, and more in a welcoming space open to everyone ages 21+.
In honor of Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, individuals can receive FREE ENTRY by getting tested for HIV at any Metro Healthy Communities clinic in the Tampa Bay area between July 20 – August 23. Free testing will also be available on-site the day of the event for entry.
Southern communities continue to be disproportionately impacted by HIV, especially Black and LGBTQ+ communities. Southern Drip is about more than partying — it’s about showing up for ourselves and each other, encouraging routine testing, reducing stigma, and reminding our community that knowing your status is power.
