Southern Chairs with Andrew Ownbey and John Haywood

Join us for an engaging evening featuring an expert discussion by Andrew Ownbey of Andrew Ownbey Restoration and John Haywood of John Haywood Antiques. Beginning at 6:30 pm, they will offer an in-depth look at Southern chairs, with a particular focus on late 18th-century examples from the Roanoke and Chowan River basins of Virginia and North Carolina. Through this lens, guests will gain insight into the history, anatomy, and distinguishing characteristics that help to identify chairs specific to these regions. This evening will be complemented by a selection of fine wine and hors d'oeuvres, engaging conversation, and a preview of our Decorative Art and Fine Jewelry Auctions.
