About this Event

As energy bills rapidly rise across the country, state policymakers are working to provide relief for households while not sacrificing long-term economic development and grid expansion. The Southeast in particular is seeing strong population growth and business development while facing high energy burdens and a congested electrical grid. Legislators play a critical role in balancing consumer protections with a reliable and resilient grid.

Join the (NCEL) for the Southeast Energy Affordability Summit, happening September 8 -10 in Atlanta, Georgia. This bipartisan event will bring together legislators from Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina to learn about energy affordability in the Southeast. The agenda will feature deep dive workshops on utility and grid policy, the specific role state legislators have to play, case studies from states in the region, and concrete policy actions state legislators can take following the event.
