About this Event

Join PDC Health Hub, WA Lions Diabetes Club & Vasse Lions for a community-focused Mini Diabetes & Health Expo designed to support, connect and empower people living with diabetes and their families in the South West.

This community event will bring together diabetes technology providers, local health services, community organisations and healthcare professionals for a day of connection, practical information and support.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

• Explore a range of diabetes and health-related exhibitors
• Learn about diabetes technology and support options
• Hear a non-sales-pitch overview of the diabetes tech options available in Australia in a presentation led by Teresa (CDE) and Tayla (lived experience) (10.30am)
• Connect with local services and healthcare professionals
• Get tips on navigating the healthcare system in our dedicated presentation on this topic (12.30pm)
• "Get to know your diabetes" in our final session (2pm) where we will discuss diabetes & exercise, diabetes & food, diabetes stigma, sleep & diabetes, hypos & emergency management, diabetes & drinking - plus anything else you ask us to cover!
• Meet others in the diabetes community
• Access resources, information and support in one place

Whether you are newly diagnosed, have been living with diabetes for years, support someone with diabetes, or work in healthcare - everyone is welcome.

A range of platters will be served for lunch, otherwise you are welcome to head downstairs to the main bar/restaurant for lunch.
