It's South vs. South! Who has the better wines? South America or South Africa? It's like a good football (soccer)game...and It's free for Wine club members to find out.
Hosted by Eagle Beverage and Gusto, we are for sure they are both great, but who will be your favorite.
Regardless, Chef rhonda has planned a special menu with items from both countries.
South Africa: Boewors Bites (South African Sausage handmade locally by Central Ave Meats), Bunny chow in puff pastry (chicken curry) and Oepsies (Chef learned how to make these in during safari), bacon and cherry skewers!
South America: Albondigas (meatballs) sliders on Brazilian cheese bread with an Aji Amarillo (Peruvian yellow pepper) aioli, Yerba Mate (tea) infused arancini stuffed with Argentine Port Salut, and finally Mel's specialty Alfajores (dulce de leche cookie).
Plus Sera is picking out some cheese!
