As residents of South Surrey, 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐨𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝟗 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟓𝟐 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 (𝐃𝐏 #𝟐𝟓-𝟎𝟐𝟗𝟕). Our concerns center on the lack of thorough public consultation, the absence of essential support services, and significant safety risks to children and seniors living nearby.
We believe that care for vulnerable groups should not compromise the safety, voice, and well-being of our existing residents. Our demand is clear: restore transparent public hearings, eliminate any design elements that facilitate drug use, and develop proposals that better serve our seniors and youth.
