South Sound Opening Day of Boating Season

It's time to shake off the winter blues, scrub away the green slime, and kick the cobwebs out of your engine room—or hoist those sails and catch the wind! The Olympia Yacht Club proudly presents South Sound Opening Day of Boating Season, and you won’t want to miss this celebration on the water!

This year’s theme? "It’s the Water"—a tribute to the stunning waterways of the lower Puget Sound.

Decorate your boat, show off your creativity, and cruise with fellow boaters in a festive parade! We’ll launch from Percival Landing, make our way to the Country Club, and loop back in style.

Once your boat is safely docked, join us for a BBQ & Deck Party with Live Music! It’s the perfect way to kick off the season with great food, friends, and fantastic tunes.

🍕 Friday Night TGIF (5:30 PM)
🍕 Pizza, salad bar, and ice cream—just $10 per person!
📦 Pick up your parade packet and register if you haven’t already!
🚢 Non-OYC members who register for the parade are invited as guests for the weekend!

🥞 Saturday Morning Festivities
🍳 Breakfast at 8:30 AM ($6 per person)
🎺 American Legion Band Concert at 9:30 AM
🚩 Opening Day Ceremony at 10:30 AM
📢 Captain’s Meeting & Final Parade Packet Pickup at 11:30 AM

🚢 The Parade Kicks Off at 12:30 PM!

🌅 Deck Party at 5:30 PM ($15 per person) – The best way to cap off a fantastic day!
