We do have limited space in our main orchestra, so if you are a new member, please be aware that we may place you on a waiting list until we can determine that we have an opening for the instrument you'd like to play. This Fall 2026 session we will be hosting two separate groups, our Main Orchestra and our brand-new string group, the Sinfonietta. The Sinfonietta is great for those who are looking to get back into playing or looking to grow their skills before taking the step up into the Main Orchestra. At least one year of experience is required.
We are audition free! Anyone ages 18+ of all music skill levels welcome! Our sessions run around 12 weeks long, with 10-11 rehearsals and 1-2 concerts in the final week or so. Musicians, for the most part, are required to provide their own instruments (with the exception of percussion). We will provide chairs and stands for rehearsal.
Cost: $60 per session.
When: Fall 2026 session will run from September 8th-December 8th every Tuesday night.
Main Orchestra Rehearsal Time: 6:30-8:30 PM in the Griffin School cafeteria. Feel free to come a bit early to warm up before start time.
(NEW!) Sinfonietta Rehearsal Time: 6:30-7:30 PM in the Griffin School band room. Feel free to come a bit early to warm up before start time.
Where: Depending on what group you join, the rehearsals will either be in the cafeteria or band room of the Griffin School District at 6530 33rd Ave NW Olympia, WA 98502.
