No holiday party? No problem. We’ve got the trolley, the lights, the music, and a seat waiting for you — whether it’s for one, two, or twenty.
South Shore Sights and Lights is a 21-and-up, BYOB holiday lights trolley party — the South Shore's own answer to "what should we do this Christmas," now in its 8th season.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
A 4-hour trolley ride through the South Shore's best holiday light displays, with a stop at Ben's PourHouse & Grille in Avon along the route (drinks and food at the stop are on you — BYOB is what's included, not a comped drink).
WHAT TO EXPECT
Loud, festive, social and fun — our reviewers describe strangers becoming friends by the bar stop and a "we're doing this every year now" feeling. We have a perfectly pre-planned route to bring you to some of the nicest light shows on the South Shore.

DATE & TIME
Nightly at 6PM and 7PM, November 27, 2026 through January 2, 2027, with select nights off (see full calendar on this listing).
LOCATION
Departs from Wollaston Station, Quincy, MA — accessible via the MBTA Red Line, local bus, or rideshare. Returns to Wollaston at the conclusion.
PUBLIC TICKETS
$64 per person, General Admission. Please plan to leave gratuity for your staff.
PRIVATE BOOKINGS:
WE ARE OFFERING 2 DIFFERENT SIZE PRIVATE EVENT OPTIONS THIS YEAR, BUT YOU MUST BOOK THE ENTIRE TROLLEY.
Option 1: 40-Passenger Private Event
- Minimum purchase of 38 tickets at $64 each (Sunday - Saturday)
- You may bring up to 40 guests total
- Must pay for any additional guests beyond the 38-ticket minimum
Option 2: 26-Passenger Private Event
- Must purchase all 26 seats, regardless of guest count. Friday and Saturday Pricing is $2199, Thursday and Sunday is $1999. Monday-Wednesday is $1664.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
BYOB — bring your own drinks and snacks. We will stop at a local bar/restaurant along the route where you're welcome to grab something on your own (not included in ticket price).
AGE REQUIREMENT
21+ only, valid ID required.
IMPORTANT POLICIES
All ticket sales are final — no refunds. This is an all-weather event; we run rain, snow, or shine.
FAQ
Can I really bring my own alcohol? Yes — that's core to the experience.
Can I book the whole trolley privately? Yes — buy out all the seats for your group (corporate parties, families, weddings, whatever) and we can customize your pickup location. Email [email protected].
What if it rains or snows? We run in all weather — no reschedules.
Are you running on New Year's Eve? Dec 31 is reserved for private charters this season — email [email protected] to inquire about booking the trolley for your group that night.
