Who will be the south metro champion? Four competitions and a final, this one is going to be awesome Scooter, Skateboard, BMX competition series.Qualifier Round 1 - 12th October - Singleton Skatepark
Qualifier Round 2 - 2nd November - Bibra Lake Skatepark
Qualifier Round 3 - 16th November - Edge Skatepark, Kwinana
Qualifier Round 4 - 23rd November - Mandurah Skatepark
Finals - 14th December - Spearwood Skatepark
The South Metro Ride and Roll Skatepark Series is a collaboration across four local government youth development departments from the City of Cockburn, City of Kwinana, City of Rockingham and the City of Mandurah. The series will involve each local government hosting a qualifier round at a local skatepark with the finals taking place at the Spearwood skatepark. You will need to qualify to make it into the finals. The top three from each of the divisions from each of the rounds will earn a place in the finals at Kwinana skatepark. If by chance you have already qualified the next place down also qualifies. The numbers will be limited so be sure to register online.
Helmets are compulsory in all competitions.
DISCIPLINES/DIVISIONS
Scooter - Beginner, Intermediate, Open
Skateboard - Beginner, Intermediate, Open
BMX - Beginner, Intermediate, Open
Competitors can only enter one division but can enter multiple disciplines
COMPETITION FORMAT - Each competitor gets 2 x 1 minute individual run. Best run counts. No finals.

scooter rego / warm up - 11:30 - 12:00 / scooter comp - 12:00 - 1:30
skate rego / warm up - 1:30 - 2:00 / skate comp - 2:00 - 3:30
BMX rego / warm up - 3:30 - 4:00 / BMX comp - 4:00 - 4:30
JUDGING CRITERIA
Difficulty. Best score possible from one judge – 20 points
Definition - Tricks that are difficult to execute - Technical tricks - Difficult lines within the park - Large gaps or high airs will also be taken into account
Diversity. Best score possible from one judge – 20 points
Definition - A run consisting of various types of tricks (grinds, stalls and airs) - Using the park to its full capability (tricking on as many obstacles as you can) - Using the park in ways that other competitors are not (original lines through the park or tricking parts of the park that no one is tricking.) - The more varied the run and the more obstacles ridden the higher the score.
Consistency. Best score possible from one judge – 20 points
Definition - A run that has been done without any feet touching by mistake or crashes. - Tricks done but not pulled smooth will also come into account with consistency points - The less touches or crashes and the smoother the run the higher the score the competitor will receive.
