As a kick-off to American Public Works Association National Public Works Week, (May 17-23, 2026), your South Elgin Public Works Department will host an open house, Friday May 15 from 2-6pm at the Public Services Building, 1000 Bowes Road. Along with touch-a-truck, come enjoy games, snacks, promotional giveaways from our vendors and an opportunity to engage with the public works team.Get Your Rain Barrel from The Conservation Foundation! We’ll have a sample of the rain barrel on display at the Open House. Rain barrels and supplies can be ordered online from March 1 through May 22, 2026.
