Join Boots On Adventures for a two-day guided backpacking experience through the beautiful South Downs National Park. Carry everything you need for the journey, camp overnight with the group, and learn practical outdoor skills along the way.
This adventure is designed for beginners and anyone wanting to gain confidence before tackling longer-distance trails.
During the adventure you'll learn:

🥾 Backpacking techniques and outdoor skills
🌿 Tips for planning your own future adventures
No previous backpacking experience is needed—just a reasonable level of fitness and a willingness to challenge yourself.
Event Highlights
📍 Day 1: Hassocks to Housedean Campsite (approximately 10 miles)
📍 Day 2: Housedean Campsite to Southease (approximately 7.5 miles)
👥 Maximum group size: 7 participants
🎒 Tents and stoves can be provided if required.
Before the adventure, you'll also have the opportunity to attend a free backpacking preparation workshop in Iwade, Kent (25th August), or join our online preparation session (31st August) if you can't attend in person.
This is much more than just a walk—it's your introduction to backpacking.
