South Dakota GOP Governor Runoff Forum

SD Citizens for Liberty is hosting a South Dakota GOP Governor Runoff Forum on Thursday, July 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Best Western Ramkota in the Sylvan Room.
This forum will be moderated by emcee Big John Small.
Per our bylaws, SD Citizens for Liberty does not endorse candidates. However, we believe it is vital for the public to have the opportunity to hear directly from candidates beyond campaign literature and prepared talking points.
Candidates are welcome to bring campaign materials to share with attendees.
This is NOT a debate. It is a moderated public forum designed to give citizens an opportunity to hear from the candidates and ask questions in a respectful, orderly format.
Forum Format:
- Candidates will each have 3 minutes for introductions and 2 minutes for closing remarks.
- All candidates will respond to all questions.
- SDCFL will ask the first question.
- Attendees may ask questions at the center aisle standing microphone.
- Questions and responses will be timed to avoid speeches and filibusters.
The emcee will determine if a topic has been exhausted or already asked and answered, disallow rude, accusatory, or inappropriate questions or statements, keep answers on track, and determine whether a rebuttal is warranted.
Both candidates have been invited. Toby Doeden has confirmed, and we are awaiting a response from Larry Rhoden.
