South Creek Planting Weekend - South Windsor, NSW

Grab your gloves! The Bass Sydney Chapter is inviting you to a day (or two) of native tree planting on the banks of South Creek in South Windsor.
The planting weekend is part of our wider South Creek Revival project, restoring habitat along an 8 kilometre stretch of the creek through fencing, W**d removal, revegetation and new fish habitat structures. Every tree you help plant rebuilds that habitat corridor, stabilises the bank and brings shade back to the water.
Feel free to come along on the Saturday, Sunday or both days if you’re feeling extra industrious! You’ll be helping to dig holes, plant trees, install plant guards and watering everything in. No experience is needed – we’ll show you what to do and work alongside you the whole way through.
Once the hard work is done, stick around for a barbecue on us – our way of saying thanks for getting your hands dirty.
When & where:
Date: Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, 2026
Time: 9:30AM – 1:30PM AEST
Site access: Look for the OzFish flag at the driveway entrance of 222 Fairey Road. Parking will be directed from there.
What to bring:
- Closed-toe shoes.
- Suitable clothing for working outdoors.
- Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent.
- Gloves (if you have them)
- Drink bottle and snacks – a barbecue lunch will be provided.
Registration is essential. We hope to see you there!
