The City of Bismarck recently undertook a grant-funded historical survey of the "South Capitol" neighborhood, from N 4th Street to N 6th Street, between E Avenue A and Boulevard Avenue. Emily Sakariassen of South Fork Historical Research documented 182 properties for the project, analyzing available information to see if the area has potential to become a historic district. Sakariassen will present her findings and share some of the interesting stories uncovered through her research.
The presentation will be co-hosted by the Bismarck Historical Society as part of their regular public program series. This program is free and open to the general public.
