schools just started. Parents can breathe a sigh of relief. Summer is in full swing. Immerse fully into 2026. Wear op shop, fancy outfits, ball gowns, suits, dress-ups and enjoy our Perth 🌊 in the greatest way possible:
BEACH BALL!
We'll be meeting in front of the people’s South Beach - on the right side of the path to the beach, grassed area, South Fremantle, near the trees 🌳... look for people in fancy dress. Same place as last time.
GROUND RULES:
Please DO:
*Bring a picnic rug! Why not set up a nice little rug with your Beau/hot date/friends and snack upon little delicacies as the sun goes down?
*Dress up awesomely in your best/worst tuxedo/ball gown! This is a great time to wear that amazing jacket that you bought in the op shop that never quite fitted but looks great! Please bear in mind that you will want to wear it in the ocean, so stay away from family heirlooms!
*Tell your nice friends! Why not share the beach ball love with those friends of yours who you know will love the fantastic party that is Beach Ball!
*Bring a Camera! Your Aunt Cathy will want to see a pic of you, on your picnic rug, in your awesome tuxedo, with your nice friends!
*Remember it’s a shared beach/grassland!
Please DON'T:
*Bring Alcohol. The last thing we want is for Beach Ball to be shut down by the fun police. That won't happen if we aren't street drinking.
*Bring glassware. Bare feet parties on the beach and smashed glass don't mix.
*Tell your nasty friends. Come to think of it, why would you? Why are you even friends with them? Make some new friends at Beach Ball!
*Bring precious items.
*Not have a great time. We need you to have a great time!

Summertime. Time to party 🎉
Dust off your best (worst) old prom dress, ball gown, tuxedo, suit and come down to the South Beach Fremantle for Beach Ball from 6pm.
There will be music 🎶 dancing 🕺🏽 and swimming 🏊♀️ in your fancy gear. No limos, corsages, lost virginities or any other cliches necessary - but 🌊 swimming 🏊♀️ in your dress / suit is!

Some FAQ's
Q. Is it ticketed?
A. Nope, it's not even an 'event' in any way or an official thing... it's just a bunch of people dressing up in fancy opshop clothes/Ball gowns/suits and then parading into the ocean at sunset.
Very simple.
Q. Can anyone come?
A. Yes as long as you're not a jerk, please don't bring jerks... actually why are you even friends with jerks?
Q. Can kids come?
A. Yes of course, but please know you are responsible for your kids and yourselves.
Q. Can I photo / film it?
A. Yep just share them in the group so everyone can access.
NB: Photos will be placed on the socials.
Q. Can I bring a picnic?
A. Sure, but it's an open public beach, so no alcohol permitted.
Q. Can I bring games?
A. Yep, please bring Bocce, Frisbees etc that can be shared and played on the grass, especially for before the swim.
Q. Will we need light?
A. Yep. It will get dark if planning to stay after the swim, so please bring lamps/light (inflammables only).
Q. What else may we need?
A. Warm dry clothes, towel, beanie, water, snacks, mosquito repellent, inflatables.
Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Technically no. This is a people beach.
Q. When will it finish?
A. Up to you. But can be done just after the swim around 8pm.
Q. Can I start my own in my part of the world?
A. Absolutely, you just dress up and parade into the ocean. You can do it every day if you want to and anytime of the year 🙌
