South America is shaking up the wine world! While Argentina and Chile dominate the spotlight, grapes are grown across the continent, from Peru to Patagonia. Malbec may steal the show, but South America offers so much more! Did you know Vitis Vinifera vines arrived in 1439 with Columbus, and Peru saw its first vineyards in 1539? Today, South America produces 10% of the world’s wines, yet its rich diversity remains largely undiscovered.
