Event Description: Delve into the delicious art of sourdough baking with Carrie from Mindful Roots. During this hands-on experience, Carrie will guide you through each step of the process and you will learn some of her secrets behind starting and maintaining a starter culture. You will leave with a starter culture to kickstart your sourdough journey and the confidence to bake your own sourdough!
Registration Fee: $25.00 + tax. Your purchase includes sourdough starter and guide, plus samples of Mindful Root's fresh baked sourdough.
What you need to bring: A kitchen scale, medium/large GLASS bowl (must be able to see through), pint glass mason jar, bag of flour (not gluten free), salt (3 tsp), rubber spatula, whisk and disposable gloves if you have some so you keep your hands clean!
It is highly encouraged that you follow the Sourdough for Beginners group on Facebook and also watch a couple Facebook Reels, YouTube’s, or TikTok’s on how to make sourdough!
Shop 3430 is a BYOB event space. You are welcome to bring a beverage of your choice to enjoy while you work! Parking will be in the State Farm parking lot behind the building. See you there!
