Are you ready to finally take the plunge into sourdough and all of its benefits? Start the new year with a bang and make this the year that you master the art of sourdough! Come learn a skill as old as time and get your hands doughy. Our events typically sell out so don't wait. Limited tickets available.
The Apple Cup Cafe and Laura at Chiliwist & Raw are partnering to bring you a Sourdough For Beginners Sip & Bake event located at the Apple Cup Cafe in Chelan, WA. Laura, owner of Chiliwist Bakes, a WSDA certified commercial sourdough bakery and instructor at Chiliwist & Raw, will teach you all you need to know to bake an artisan sourdough boule from start to finish. You will gain the knowledge and skills on how to mix and strengthen your dough, bulk fermentation, proofing, scoring and baking as well as how to maintain a sourdough starter! There will be sourdough bread and snacks to munch on as you learn sourdough with hands-on methods and take notes in your provided notebook.
Attendees will take home their very own starter PLUS the dough that they mix and the pre-fermented boule that is ready to bake.
You'll be able to learn how to bake sourdough with confidence and ask all the questions you've been burning to ask when it comes to sourdough!
Come have a fun and educational evening with us while we enjoy gut-friendly sourdough and learn a useful (and fun!) skill that your health and tastebuds will benefit from.
Tickets are $99 and are non-refundable.
You will need to first fill out this google form and will be emailed an invoice to purchase tickets. Tickets are only reserved once invoice is paid and are on a first come, first served basis.
