Sourdough Focaccia Decorating

We’ll begin with introductions and a brief overview of sourdough before diving into a live demonstration of focaccia decorating techniques. You’ll learn how to layer flavor, build texture, and create designs that are just as beautiful as they are delicious.

Each participant will choose a Bodacious flavored olive oil as the base for their focaccia, prepared in a pan we provide (or feel free to bring your own favorite pan if you prefer). We’ll supply the prepared sourdough dough and portion it out for everyone.

From there, the fun really begins.

You’ll drizzle additional olive oil over your dough and then spend the majority of the class designing your focaccia using an abundant selection of fresh herbs, vegetables, seeds, and other seasonal toppings available at your table. Think vibrant garden designs, bold patterns, or rustic simplicity—it’s entirely up to you.

Once your masterpiece is complete, you’ll brush a final layer of olive oil over the top to help protect your decorations while baking. We’ll go over clear, step-by-step instructions so you can confidently bake your focaccia at home to golden perfection.

While we wrap up, we’ll enjoy sourdough snacks together and open the floor for questions.
