Sourdough is a skill that connects the traditional method of bread making with a self-sufficient lifestyle. The Bluetruck Homestead and The Garden at Creep Hill are bringing you a Sourdough 101 class as part of our Homesteading series of workshops.In this class, you will learn everything you need to know from the science behind sourdough, the nutritional benefits, creating and making a sourdough starter, the fermentation process, baking and storage techniques as well as troubleshooting and plenty of time for Q&A. There will be lots of ‘hands on’ time with the starter and dough! It is a perfect way to safely delve into the world of artisanal bread and is a skill that can be passed down for generations!
Each participant will receive:
Sourdough starter - ready to be baked with
Complete Beginners Guide including recipes
Sourdough essential tool kit
