SouperBowl of Caring 2026

It’s an annual event that offers soup samples for a good cause! Chefs at Coligny restaurants on Hilton Head are pulling out their best soup recipes to benefit Second Helpings food rescue. It’s all in preparation for the third annual SouperBowl of Caring event on Saturday, Feb. 7th, from 1 to 3 pm at Coligny Plaza.

This year, Coligny will host the Souperbowl as an outdoor walk-around event where patrons can sample soups while enjoying a festive atmosphere. This walk-around concept allows participants to discover new restaurants and stores at Coligny as well as revisit the ones they know and love. Bands will be sprinkled throughout Coligny, creating a vibrant musical ambiance to enhance the experience. Beverages will also be available for purchase from Coligny restaurants.

Participants can grab their passport, featuring all the Coligny stops, either at the Coligny Center Stage or at any participating establishment. Tickets are $25 per person, with all proceeds benefitting Second Helpings. Limited tickets will be sold, so don’t miss out!

Coligny owner JR Richardson shared his excitement about the event: “This annual event is a win-win for the participants who get to sample a variety of soups and for Second Helpings and the food pantries it serves. Coligny is thrilled to sponsor the SouperBowl of Caring as a unique walk-around event this year.”

Volunteers from Second Helpings will be on-site to accept donations and discuss the organization’s mission, including the need for additional volunteers to rescue food and distribute it to 55 agencies across Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton counties.

The SouperBowl of Caring is a national event designed to “transform the time around the Super Bowl into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving.” The first SouperBowl of Caring took place in Columbia, SC, in 1990. Since then, millions have been raised to support hunger relief charities nationwide.

Volunteers and donations are essential to Second Helpings’ operations, as the organization is entirely supported by grants and donations.

Since the inception of SouperBowl of Caring at Coligny, over $30,000 has been raised to help fight hunger in our community.
