Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church is once again putting the FUN in FUNdraising for the SOUPer Bowl of Caring
on Saturday February 8th from 11 AM – 1 PM.

But this year, instead of a "tail-gating" party, we’re planning some new twists and opportunities for you to help us TACKLE HUNGER.

1. The first new twist is the theme which is “Beat Bobette’s!” And in true “Beat Bobby Flay” fashion, Gary and Lucas from Bobette’s have agreed to go toe-to-toe with anyone daring enough to put their favorite soup recipe and reputation on the line. Reach out to the church office at 203-874-1982 if you would like to register to make a batch of soup!

2. Another twist is to add a Can Sculpture design and build competition; creating masterpieces from canned and packaged food that will then be donated to one of our three recipient organizations: Purple Pantry Box, Milford Food Bank and the Beth El Center.

We will also have a bake sale of scrumptious goodies!
Tickets are $10 for soup tastings and the can sculpture competition is free to enter.
Tackle Hunger’s signature Souper Bowl of Caring effort is a youth-inspired movement working across the nation to tackle hunger in their local communities. Mobilizing grassroots resources including churches, schools, civic groups and caring individuals, Tackle Hunger and the Souper Bowl of Caring movement has created over $175 million worth of support that stays completely local to make sure no one goes without soup in their bowl.
So come on down and join our team in your favorite jersey, have some FUN and do something REALLY GOOD for our Milford neighbors!
