Who Doesn’t love a Good Soup!? I think it’s high time we created a showcase for all our Soup enthusiasts! We’re proud to present our Inaugural Soup Cook Off on Saturday, February 28th at 1pm! Entry for our Eaters into the Inaugural Soup Cook Off is just $10!So What Constitutes a Soup!? While opinions may differ, In this Event we are allowing Contestants to enter any of the Following.
- Broth, Stock, Creamy, Bisque, Consommé, Chowder, Gazpacho, or Stew.
**Rules for Entry:
1. Contestants must provide an ingredient list (not recipe) to prevent any allergic reactions or dietary restrictions!
2. Soup Must have a Name
3. There is No Entry Fee for Contestants!
4. Soup must be Brought ready to eat in crock pot or stock pot.
5. All Soups will be transferred into chaffing trays for serving upon arrival.
6. Contestants will need to bring their own serving spoon
7. Lincoln Fill will provide all chaffing trays, pans, cups, oil, spoons, and tickets for the public.
8. All Contestants will be allowed 1 accompaniment to their soup if they choose! (Bread, bacon bits, chives, ect.)
** Judging:
Judging will be done via Peoples Choice. Each Contestant will be assigned a number and the voting will be done separately from the serving area.
- Trophies will go to 1st and 2nd place 🏆
While I know that we all would like to come home with a trophy, let’s not forget that the event is for fun and to appreciate great soups and stews!
