First created in England during the 1830s, sneakers were originally designed for sport and recreation. Today, they hold a prominent place in modern culture, celebrated for their bold colors, sleek designs, and powerful athlete endorsements.
Wear your favorite (or most prized) pair and join Membership Coordinator Zander Everman for a fascinating look at how sneakers evolved from simple rubber-soled shoes to cultural statements. From early canvas styles to the rise of Air Jordans and sneakerhead culture, this engaging program explores fashion, innovation, sports history, and identity—all through the lens of footwear.
