Soup & Bread Sale to benefit Help Build Hope

You saw how cold it could get in January, and winter is not over yet! Nothing fights cold better than soup. The Missions team is sponsoring a soup/chili and bread sale between services and after the 2nd service. Soup will be sold for $5 per container and assorted breads for a donation.We are asking anyone with a favorite soup recipe to roll up your sleeves and make a batch or two. We will supply you with containers to use so that the quantities are uniform for the sale. Please write up the main ingredients in your soup (eg. Beef, Chicken, corn..) and if it is gluten-free, vegan, etc. We don’t need the quantities or the lesser ingredients.
We also need bakers to complement the soup with your favorite bread: corn bread, sourdough, rye, garlic bread, pumpkin, any kind, any size. We have bread bags you can use to package the bread you make or buy.

Is solo cooking not your thing? On Friday, February 21, the Missions team is sponsoring a group Soup “Cook” night. We will be making a very popular recipe from last year’s sale. We will start at 6:00 PM in Hayes Hall and dinner will be provided. All ingredients will be provided. You can sign-up for this event using the link above as well.
