We’re delighted to be partnering with Big Ideas By The Sea to invite you to something a little different.Join us as we lead you through the glorious seascapes of Scarborough whilst we listen to classical and contemporary music created by and inspired by composers from the LGBTQ+ community. We’ll send the curated playlist and a walking map in advance of this walk so you can choose to walk and listen together with us and the whole group in a guided walk or you can simply do it in your own time or in your own way and then meet us for the conversation.
This is an immersive experience: Headphones on, the sea breeze on your face. Notice what moves you, what surprises you, what does being by the sea do to the sound, how many big ideas does it spark? We will meet and start at 2pm at the Holbeck Putting Green. At the end we’ll gather together upstairs in The Marisco Lounge, Sandside @ 3.30 pm for a cuppa and a conversation (https://thelounges.co.uk/marisco/).
Whether you’re a music lover, a seaside walker or simply fancy trying something new with some lovely people - come and walk the soundwaves with us.
What You’ll Need:
Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
Headphones
A mobile phone capable of streaming music from your preferred platform.
An open mind and curiosity.
