The Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, famously rendered by the Roman poet Virgil, is one of the most enduring in the Western canon — as full of inspiration today as it was centuries ago. Artists, writers, playwrights, and composers have kept the tragic tale alive through countless reimaginings.Storyteller Maria LoBiondo offers a delightful retelling of this classic myth and invites you to explore its meaning as a preview to Dobrinka Tabakova's orchestral work "Orpheus' Comet", to be performed on the PSO’s season-opening concert.
Attendees of the talk will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win tickets to the Princeton Symphony Orchestra's October 25th and October 26th concerts.
Soundtracks is presented as a PSO BRAVO! community outreach program in partnership with the Princeton Public Library.
The series is sponsored in the 2025-26 season by AffinIT.
This event is free and open to the public.
