The concert takes place at Comley-Lane Theatre, an intimate setting with sparkling sound and comfortable seating.
Alison Dasilva, a native of Lowell, is a fast-rising star of the local fado scene. She was recognized by the International Portuguese Music Association Awards as the Best New Talent of 2024.
Pedro Botas, a native of Portugal, has been performing fado professionally in the U.S. for more than 15 years and has released three albums of fado music.
Their featured accompanists—Ricardo Parreira and Nelson Aleixo—have performed worldwide with some of contemporary fado’s top artists, including Ana Moura, Gisela João, and Hélder Moutinho. Ricardo Parreira, a master of the 12-string Portuguese guitar, has featured as an accompanist and soloist in New York, Chicago, London, and countless other locations. He is joined by longtime collaborator Nelson Aleixo on the classical guitar.
