Join us for an evening celebrating Florida’s rich history through music and storytelling at the opening of our new temporary exhibit, Sounds of Osceola!As part of the Florida Talks program, we’re excited to welcome Florida folk musician and storyteller Chris Kahl, who will present “A Musical Journey Through Florida” beginning at 6:30 PM. This engaging program takes audiences on a historical journey across the state, featuring original songs and stories inspired by Florida’s past — from Ponce de Leon’s 1513 voyage, to Henry Flagler and the Florida East Coast Railway, Florida’s unique ecosystems, folklore, and more.
🎸 Chris Kahl’s music comes from his Florida-themed albums Orange Blossom Memories and Sunshine Kid. He has performed statewide and for organizations including the Florida Historical Society and Arts4All Florida, and is a graduate of Rollins College.
