Sounds About Write: The Floor is All Yours

We absolutely loved hearing your words at our End of Year Celebration at the end of last year, so much that we're kicking off 2026 with another mega open mic. Bring something you're working on, whether it's brand new or you've been honing it for a while, to share with a supportive audience.

To secure an open-mic slot, get an 'Open Mic' ticket (you might have to scroll down on the ticket page). If the Open Mic tickets have sold out, email [email protected] to be added to the reserve list (in case we have no-shows or more time on the night). Slots are 3 minutes each.

This edition of Sounds About Write is FREE to attend! But donations are always welcome: all proceeds will support our work to improve access to our programme and celebrate our city's writing talent.
