Robert Huffman....
Robert performs regularly around Bhm in open mics and songwriter nights. A kind soul who writes thoughtful lyrics with fun melodies and sometimes throws a harmonica in there for good measure. He also plays the organ in the long running local band “The High Fidelics”.
Victoria Cheyenne …
Raised up in the mountains of North Carolina Victoria Cheyenne grew up singing in the church choir and crooning with any band obliged to have her jump on stage at the local speakeasies. Her mother gifted Victoria her first guitar for her 21st birthday. Soon thereafter she let out of those hills and hollers, looked around, and found herself in heart of Texas. She began playing bass with a 3 piece original band, living and breathing rock and roll. Life has a way of coming back around, thus she soon wound up right where she started in the Appalachian Mountains. She kept right on pickin’ and grinnin’ with her pals at the Drive Ins and Watering Holes until she came down off her mountain top once again to land right here in Birmingham. She has since played privately and informally but is proud to announce her official Magic City debut at Soundbox Writers Rounds™️ at Mom’s Basement.
Chase Stewart …
Chase is an Alabama singer-songwriter blending old-school country storytelling with the soul of Muscle Shoals and the freewheeling spirit of Southern rock. A lifelong Southerner, he writes with affection and a critical eye about love, relationships, growing older, and finding one’s place in a changing world—occasionally challenging the politics and traditions of the genre he loves.
Rick Carter
Mr Rick has an impressive list of accomplishments in the Alabama music scene. Writing his 1st song in 1967, he has shared his gift of writing music for over 50 years. He’s been part of numerous bands along the way; Rollin’ In The Hay, Telluride, The Alabama Troubadours, as well as a successful solo career. A true Alabama gem.
