Slow down at day’s end with a gentle, family-friendly sound journey of didgeridoo, rhythm and story at the wetlands.
Join Noongar musician and storyteller Phil Walleystack for an evening of deep listening and calm. Families settle in on mats or chairs while Phil creates immersive soundscapes using didgeridoo, voice and percussion, inviting everyone to relax, breathe and tune in to the feeling of Country.
Across the session, Phil weaves simple stories and reflections between waves of sound, helping kids and adults notice how different rhythms and tones can feel grounding, energising or soothing. Children are encouraged to listen with their whole bodies, rest, and gently reconnect with themselves and the world around them.

About the Presenter:
Phil Walleystack is a Noongar singer-songwriter and performing artist based in Perth, raised in Country Western Australia with traditional connections to Whadjuk, Yued, Ballardong and Wardarndi language groups. He has been performing since childhood and is an accomplished musician, dancer and author. Phil studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and the National Aboriginal Islander Skills Development Academy (NAISDA), and has toured across Australia and overseas. Known for his powerful storytelling, humour and warmth, he blends traditional instruments such as the didgeridoo, boomerangs and tapping sticks with contemporary sounds to create engaging experiences for audiences of all ages.
