Singing bowls are a valuable tool for calming the mind, reducing anxiety, assisting the body to transition from the fight or flight mode and entering into the rest and digest state - where the body can heal.
The envelopment of sound waves allows the heart and mind space for more clarity and insight while lessening inflammation, increasing circulation and bringing about a sense of well-being.
We will start with a guided meditation to help prepare the mind and body to being receptive to the vibrations of the Nepalese singing bowls.
In this session, I will be using a variety of hand hammered metal singing bowls from my personal collection.
Once the vibrations have filled the space, with your mind and body in incoherence, I will begin to walk around the room placing the bowls on or around each individual.
This will allow a more in-depth and personal experience.
I will intuitively strike or sing the bowls on or around each individual.
During this time, you will continue breathing and allowing your senses to be massaged in the vibrations.
Most people will experience feelings of bliss, some may fall asleep, some may feel their mind is resisting, some may feel the need to shed a tear or release negative ways of thinking.
These feelings and emotions are all acceptable.
I will continue going around the room, until everyone has had a chance to be bathed in the vibrations up close.
Ending the session with striking and or singing the bowls and followed by a short quiet time to allow yourself to re-acclimate before ending our time together.
This is a space and time for healing.
While singing bowls and vibrational medicine can bring about profound healing, it is always important to honor your needs.
Singing bowls should not be placed on the body during pregnancy, or those who have hearing aides, metal implants, pacemakers and or those who have diagnosed heart problems or epilepsy.
