About this Event

Join me for a Sound Bath at Soul Barns in Mortimer, Reading!

Let yourself be transported to a deeper state of relaxation as we take you on a journey using drums, singing bowls, gongs, vocals and percussion. Using a particular method of playing, Sound Therapy can influence brainwaves and enable us to enter altered states of consciousness (ASC). This can bring benefits such as an improvement in our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing , reduced depression and anxiety and better sleep. Sound Therapy can allow us to release physical, emotional and mental tension, and help us to move back into balance.

WHEN AND WHERE: This is a 60 minute session. There is parking outside this venue. https://www.soulbarns.com

PAYMENT: We have set a donation option to reduce your ticket fee cost. Please enter £18 to purchase your ticket. Any tickets booked below the indicated donation amount will be refunded immediately. If booking more than one ticket please adjust accordingly eg. 2 tickets @ £36 etc

PLEASE BRING: Yoga mat, blanket and cushion/pillow to rest on. You may like to bring an eye mask if you have one, and a bolster for under your knees. Wear comfy clothes. Water or a herbal tea is also advised.

ABOUT: Just BE Sound and Movement Therapy is run by Alison Heaslewood who has received training in Sound and Movement Therapy from the British Academy of Sound Therapy. Following a five year episode of chronic pain in her twenties and a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, she turned to alternative methods of healing, including Sound Therapy. Along with sound, movement was instrumental in her full recovery and as well as offering sound journeys, she holds separate sessions to weave sound and movement together. With five years vocal training she enjoys bringing soothing vocals into her sound sessions along with other percussion. She creates nurturing and relaxing spaces for anyone seeking a space to Just BE.
