Join Joanna Michael, LPC-MHSP(Temp.), at the Hendersonville Public Library for a mental health talk called, "The Power of Presence," and discover how a few simple shifts can transform your daily experience. After the talk, Megan Pingle, sound healer, will facilitate our sound bath. What's a sound bath? We've heard "sound baths offer all the benefits of meditation, without the effort." Enjoy a 40-minute session designed to take you into blissed-out relaxation. It's an experience where guests receive a range of therapeutic sounds shown to calm the body and mind. You can bring a yoga mat to lie down or sit in a chair during the sound bath.

Whether you're a seasoned sound bath enthusiast or new to the idea, this event is perfect for anyone looking to unwind and restore balance to mind, body, and spirit.

About the Presenter

Joanna Michael, LPC-MHSP(Temp.), is a therapist at Insight Counseling Centers and sees clients in Hendersonville, TN. Her approach to the therapeutic process involves the whole person; their physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being. She works with individuals of all ages, and operate from a trauma-informed point of view. Having been trained in EMDR, she offers that modality along with others to clients who are dealing with the negative effects of trauma, whether that was a single-event or a prolonged complex trauma. Joanna also loves working with TCKs (third culture kids). Having lived internationally for many years, she appreciates and respect diverse cultures and backgrounds.
