Join us for our 3rd iteration happy hour mixer followed by an hour-long sound bath with Corey "Yoga Bro" Happel. Happy hour begins at 4:30pm followed by the sound bath at 5:30pm. No prior experience required. Bring additional mats, blankets and pillows to build your nest for ultimate comfort!

A sound bath is a profoundly relaxing and meditative experience where the attendees are literally bathed in the sound waves generated by traditional and contemporary healing instruments such as drums, rattles, gongs, Tibetan and crystal bowls, chimes, and stringed instruments. Using specific healing techniques, the instruments are played in a way that calms the mind and body to the edge of sleep, activating the parasympathetic nervous system which stimulates self-healing on a cellular, emotional and spiritual level. The attendees are typically laying on the floor or reclined in a chair to maximize physical comfort during the experience.

Sound healing particularly affects and calms the nervous system by providing bio-feedback in the form of harmonic sound waves. The nervous system entrains to the sonic harmony by regulating (harmonizing) the “fight or flight” side with the “rest and digest side”, which in turns helps to regulate all other systems of the body (circulatory, glandular, lymphatic, mental, etc.). Much like Reiki, Sound Healing is so gentle and subtle that receivers can sometimes achieve a mental “super state” where the subconscious mind begins to creatively dream while the conscious mind, still present, acts as a witness. This state is often associated with “out of body experiences” as the dream state seems so real, even with the conscious mind still awake and aware. In these dream states, past issues and traumas can be released and relieved.
