Hey Everyone!A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of leading a 15 min breath work exercise as well as enjoy a background sound bath as a requirement for my Sound and Vibration Certification!! It was defiantly something I never pictured myself doing because it took me out of my comfort zone! I am super pleased with myself though and was able to realize that I actually enjoyed being a guide!
So I have decided that I want to do it again! Spots will be limited due to the space I am using, unfortunately 15 is all I can accommodate for, $15 for 30-45 minutes. I hope to continue this on in the future! If you can’t make this one then be on the lookout for the next one!
I know it is right before Thanksgiving but I honestly can’t think of a better time to kick this off because who else struggles through the holidays??!!!!
people who have multiple dinners and dozens of different people invading your life like its their business
families who keep trying to make it work but at the end of the day still feel further apart then before
motherhood of a new baby being exposed to too many people
motherhood in general were you’re the one doing everything
It’s ok to love your families and embrace the holidays, but its also ok to know when is been to much and you need to go home for the recharge! So this breath work and sound bath is meant to release anything going on now in the moment that might end up being a trigger later on: we want to prevent the triggers and get our nervous systems in check before we welcome family and friends into our homes and life’s.
What this is:
I Samantha, will guide you to a point of relaxation, during this relaxation we are going to focus on releasing trauma from our bodies with each inhale and exhale we take. Now when i say trauma I mean anything that takes your body out of alignment, this can be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual issues that the body is holding onto! Sometimes we think we have forgotten certain moments in our life that didn’t paint us in the best image or others to us, but your body never forgets even if you convince your brain to forget.
In the background while I’m guiding you through each breath I will be playing different instruments! Between the breath work and the instruments you wont notice anyone else around you and your body will thank you for the release of anything you may be holding onto.
The breath work I have chosen to lead for this event is one that resets your whole body and all working systems! We are taking you out of flight or fight and survival mode(sympathetic nervous system), we are soothing our parasympathetic systems for better rest and digest, and giving your central nervous system(brain/spinal cord) a reboot! The before and after effects are worth it!! It’s different for each individual so I can only speak on my personal experience and those shared with me: but the outcome has been the same for most, its a feeling of refreshed alertness, lightness in the body, and a clarity that overtakes your body.
the morning I led this exercise, I walked into a room full of people having a heck of a day already at 8am, something had happened to almost everyone but myself that morning and personally I was just running late like normal 😂 so i volunteered to go first, the shift in energy as well as the mood and voice structure of my peers was something I wont ever forget and ultimately made me enjoy leading them through their struggles with each breath!
How can I tell if my body is holding onto trauma that has been pushed aside or forgotten??
Our bodies are speaking to us but most of the time we are not paying attention to what it’s saying or we don’t know what it is saying to us.
Can you remember a situation were you felt safe but the stress levels were rising a bit but mentally it was a manageable situation and yet you still felt like your body was about to have a panic attack, or you got light headed and needed to sit? Or have you ever started to do an intense workout and once your heart rate got elevated you started to have shortness of breath and almost felt like a panic attack was coming on?
That is all trauma still residing in your body!!
Although you were not in any situation that called for a panic attack to happen, your body responds to what it knows how to do based on previous experiences, so whether you’re in a harmful situation or not, your body will respond the exact same way because that’s all it knows and it’s never had the opportunity to be released or worked through, and the brain sometimes can’t stop it from happening even though you know you’re ok.
Bring yoga mats, pillows, or blankets to lay on, we will be laying on our back with our heads supported, I have some but not enough for the whole gang yet!!
Spots can be reserved by reaching out to me by message, I accept cashapp, Venmo, and Apple pay; send a message and let me know you are interested or need a spot saved!
Thank you all for the continual support!!
I hope to see everyone!!
