FREE EVENT 5PM- 8PM Bloomington-native artists Karima Santi & Kyli Walls are returning to their hometown for an evening of creative collaboration at the John Waldron Arts Center this June. When you step into the gallery, you’ll find art by the legendary Kyli Walls, a professional painter in Southern California who has amassed a cult following on social media for her fire-breathing art series.
While you browse the art, you’ll hear live music by singer-songwriter Karima Santi; a veteran of Austin’s indie music scene. Her take on triphop revival has scored her invites to official SXSW stages, features on CBS, The Austin Chronicle, KUTX, and is attracting a rapidly growing fan base across the globe.
These two creative forces grew up in Bloomington together; fused together by their shared love of art and 20 years of friendship. This evening will be equal parts exhibit, reunion, and celebration of two truly unique, Bloomington-built creative voices making an impact in their arts community.
