Imagine Sunday morning connecting to what is sacred as you dance freely, feeling held in community. You feel the rhythm of the earth beneath your feet, the pulse of life coursing through your body. With each movement, you release what no longer serves you, and invite in the presence of deep connection and rejuvenation.In this ceremonial conscious dance space we invite you into, we come together in a shared intention to honor ourselves, each other and Life. The music invites you to awaken your body and soul, moving without judgment, in full expression of who you are in this moment.
Let your body become the prayer, your movement a meditation. Each step is an offering to the self, to the community, and to the sacred rhythm that connects us all. This is a space to remember, to release, and to reawaken to the infinite possibilities that reside within you.

(doors open 9:45am and lock at 10:05AM sharp!)
Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our intention is to create a sacred ceremonial dance community space – and to have conscious ecstatic dance happen weekly here in Guelph, alongside Guelph Groove and Guelph Conscious Dance!
In this ceremonial conscious dance space, we will:
• gather in our opening circle
• cross over into our soul space with poetry and song
• drop into our souls with a grounding practice
• enter into our conscious ecstatic dance
• engage in a Release Ritual to let go of emotions or old versions of ourselves
• complete our ceremonial space with a closing council
• leave with your soul risen, rejuvenated and roaring
NOTE: This is a conscious/ecstatic dance inspired by 5Rhythms. The music will follow an arc, beginning with slower, grounding music, building up to faster dance beats intended to invite release, and then transitioning back down to prayerful music.
A core intention is to allow that which is invisible within us (emotions, sensations, images, impulses) to “move us” in our dance – to allow spontaneous expression of our authentic being through movement.
In the near future, we are hoping to make this a child-friendly space as well. Stay tuned!
WHAT TO BRING
- wear comfortable clothing that feels good to move in
- a water bottle
Please avoid chemical/synthetic perfumes and deodorants.
If you feel unwell, please stay home to protect your fellow dancers. Thank you for tending to our shared space and to your fellow dancers.
