About this Event

Soul Shop™ for Communities

Time commitment: 2 1/2 hours.

The goal of Soul Shop™ for Communities is to begin working in the larger community beyond the church to create a network of support for those who are impacted by suicide. This community-oriented program is designed to increase awareness of the dangers of suicide and discuss the steps that can be taken to reduce risks. This could be offered to parents, police, nurses, teachers, and any other concerned citizens who might want to learn how to ask the question of suicide, learn about the prevalence of suicide in the community, and get more engaged with how to be a part of the solution.

Soul Shop™ for Communities can be a great way to introduce suicide prevention to a geographic area and can serve as a gateway to or be held in combination with a variety of other Soul Shop workshops
