Soul musicians Frazer Wambeke and Luke Basile have crafted their sound from over a decade’s worth of performing together. Better known as “Fraze” and “Blaze”, the two Washington-based career musicians launched as an official duo in late 2019, after playing and recording in a variety of bands together. While they admittedly have a light schtick (in title and ethos), they take the music seriously - evident in their 2020 re-release of the Bonnie Raitt mega-balled, “I Can’t Make You Love Me”. Fraze, an accomplished pianist and vocalist, and Blaze, a multi-instrumentalist and live looper, offer a seasoned, soul-laden live show. The two play what they call “Heart & Soul” music, drawing from the Funk, R&B, and Soul catalog of the 70’s, mixed in with original works.
