Fused with rhythms of jazz and blues, Soul of Langston sketches the life of American playwright, poet, and civil rights activist Langston Hughes, as portrayed by Arts for Learning’s Daron P. Stewart. This is a free, family-friendly performance. Thanks to the Virginia African American Cultural Center, Virginia Tourism Corporation, Virginia Commission for the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, and the City of Portsmouth for funding this program.
