SOUL MOTION FOUNDATIONS: The Ebb and Flow of Belonging
Whether the tide is in or out, our relationships, both with others, and the world around us, are constantly being formed and re-formed.
And Our Relationships consistently ask us to both
1. BE: to have the presence to stay with what is... moment to moment, day to day; and to have
2. LONGING: A desire to grow, to aspire to something more...something beautiful...something inspiring.

Join Soul Motion Teachers Kate Marie and Stewart for a 4 day dive into the dance of belonging...
This immersion is for those just beginning their Soul Motion path as well as for seasoned movers looking to refresh. This is a deep dive into the architecture and foundational elements that support the practice of Soul Motion.
Leading a vibrant and more dynamic life is learning to play with our edges and connect to the dance happening below the skin. The ability to meet everyday challenges with care and kindness are enhanced when we move with a sense of our core self.
Together we explore the key elements that make this powerful practice unique. Foundations include the movement tools, somatic languaging, and relational landscapes and platforms of Soul Motion. This includes the relational dances of: alone, with another, community, and the infinite sacred prayer we take into our everyday.
We will also be shaped by the universal rhythms of:
Pause Presence - an essential practice to cultivate inner and outer listening
Orbit Orientation - having a 360 degree view of the world is vital for moving with ease in our everyday,
Echo Inspiration - each of us is a source of inspiration worthy of being reflected and received in our communities.
Soul Motion is a practice to cultivate our capacity to listen to the profound wisdom of our bodies and the quiet whisperings of the soul. From this place we meet the world alive and present.
Come with your body and soul as you are, no dance experience needed. Your life wisdom is wholly and worthy of being remembered, shared and held.

About Kate-Marie Mutsaers
As a human learning to dance with life, I bring with me a curiosity and care of the ordinary everyday dance. The ritual of making tea, the tenderness of being with loved ones, the sacred pause of prayer, the subtle poetry in a stranger’s movement. Life is already dancing — we simply learn how to listen.
The dance floor becomes our experimental ground — a place where you and I can practice, explore, go deeper, stretch wider, and move in all directions. When the ordinary rhythms of life meet conscious movement, a rich and embodied way of living unfolds.
For over 28 years, I have lived and breathed alongside diverse communities around the world, witnessing the transformative power of embodied practice. I honour and appreciate process over outcome and behold the knowing that each person in the group holds a unique wisdom, experience and way of being that can contribute towards the collective whole.
About Stewart Pryor
According to family stories, I came into the world as if on a slippery dip in under 3 hours flat… As a child, I couldn’t sit still, had to twirl through doorways and loved doing “dizzie dee’s” (spinning on the spot until one falls over). Music lit up my eyes, and I found my creative outlet through trumpet playing.
Dance, unfortunately, was a different matter. In school I was told “boys don’t twirl” and busting out shapes at the school disco quickly got usurped by a need to conform to someone else’s masculine norms.
Fast forward 20+ years and I discovered Conscious Dance… I was hooked. My capacity for self-expression, for growth, and for making the invisible visible continues to be nourished by dance.
I was drawn to holding space for others to discover this same potential and began facilitating conscious and ecstatic dance events from 2018, before completing my Soul Motion Teacher Training in 2022.
For me Dance is fundamentally a place to return home and feel my Whole Self: the parts that are Raw and the parts I Adore. A place where I can put back the pieces back together. I find no greater joy than being on a dance floor and moving authentically with like-minded souls.
