The Waukegan Park District is hosting Soul Food with Sylvia on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 11am to 1pm at the Jane Addams Center, located at 95 Jack Benny Drive in Bowen Park. Preregistration is required. The fee is $10/$12 per individual. Food is bought for the amount of participants that have preregistered. For this reason, walk-ins are not allowed. Registration closes on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.Sylvia England, Founder and Executive Director of The African American Museum at the England Manor, will demonstrate the cooking of a traditional soul food dish and will have you participate too.
