Sophia’s Ride
ALL ARE WELCOME 😊
As many of you all know my daughter Sophia was in a motorcycle accident last year on 9/11/24. Where she was life lined to Riley and underwent many surgeries. Still today we are at Riley about once or twice a month, almost a year later.
- Please come out on 9/13/25 with your motorcycle, car or truck and ride along with us. Or just come to say hello and buy a T Shirt to support the ride.
- Sophia will be following at the end of the group in a truck decorated for the ride so she can see ALL of you that came to support her for this.
- T shirts - I am working on getting T shirts made and will have them for anyone who wants to buy one for the ride. $25 a shirt ( Sophia’s own “MERCH” as she says ) she is very excited about the t shirts and the ride!
- I will be making a facebook event page for this as well and sending invites along with it being a public event.
Lastly, I want to thank all of you friends, family and the community for making this possible. As a mother I can’t put into words how much this means to me. Seeing all of you gather and do something so kind like this for my little girl. If you know Sophia you know she is one kick ass kid. She’s the bravest little warrior I’ve ever known. From birth with her bilateral cleft lip and palate having her first surgery when she was just 6 months old and so many since then. She has always had the best spirits with every thing that has came at her. She is the most kind, gentle, funny, outgoing, loving little girl.
Sophias medical stand point
Today she is walking without skipping a beat! What a miracle! We have an appointment soon to check and see the status of her growth plate. In the accident it was shattered and has not had any growth since. With that being said if there is still no growth at time of x ray she will have to have more surgeries now and down the road. Due to the severity of her Achilles injury, she will have to wear a brace to support her Achilles for the rest of her life. With lots of physical therapy and caution hopefully she will be able to do what she loves most and that’s playing softball again.
