Sophia is the ancient gnostic goddess of wisdom. Join us in our talking circle as we share in women's words, wisdom, and spirituality. This meeting was formerly called Sophia: Wisdom Circle.Join us in our talking circle as we share our women's words, wisdom, and community. Each meeting is centered around a topic, and that topic is YOU!
Women's Wisdom Circle is a meeting of women where each has a chance to speak her truth in a safe place, without interruption or cross talk. In circle we show up as our authentic, vulnerable selves to connect with each other. The connection is rich and rewarding, and healing. The circle is NOT therapy or support for a particular issue. The circle is free-form and co-creative. Everything is confidential. It's a judgment-free zone. We trust each other using the honor system.
We pass a talking stick around the circle (in this group, it's a wooden flute). The woman holding the talking stick passes it to the next one when she is finished speaking. Time allowed to each woman might be limited depending on the number of participants, but usually we can talk as much as we want. Everything spoken is confidential to the participants. What happens in the circle, stays in the circle. General discussion and other supportive activity follows the talking circle, time permitting.
