Sopa Boba est un projet belgo-néerlandais né de la rencontre entre le metteur en scène Jean Vangeebergen (zü Klub), le compositeur Pavel Tchikov (Ogives) et le chanteur GW Sok (The Ex).
La forme musicale évoque une sorte d’oratorio des temps présents qui, dans un contexte sociopolitique assumé, développe une fable dramatique. Les compositions sont portées par de rugueux synthés modulaires, du spoken word et un quatuor à cordes de style néo-classique.

Sopa Boba is a Belgian/Dutch, electronic, modern classical project. The idea behind the form is a so-called Oratorio from the present age which unfolds a dramatc tale within a sociopolitcal framework. The compositons incorporate a neo-classical style string quartet, harsh modular sytnhs and spoken word vocals.
