Celebrate the New Year in downtown Sault Sainte Marie, MI, with the 1st annual Soo Brew NYE 5K Run/Walk! The event will take place just outside of Soo Brew at 4pm on New Year's Eve, Tuesday, December 31. ✨
Packet Pickup: 2:30pm-3:30pm race day at Soo Brewing Company at 100 W Portage Ave. There will be an early packet pickup the day before also, at Soo Brewing Company from 4-7pm. 🍺
Course details will be finalized and updated soon. The course will head North to Water Street, East on Water Street and East down Portage to a turnaround location before heading back to Soo Brew. The course will be wheeled off and measured for accuracy and will include 1 mile and 2 mile markers. We will utilize sidewalk (weather dependent), and bike paths on the shoulder of the road. It will be coned off on each turn and at the turnaround location.
Parking can be found throughout the Sault Sainte Marie downtown area. 🚗
Age Group Awards: 1st Place in age groups will receive a $6 Soo Brew Gift Card, Age Groups consist of 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+🏆
Overall Awards: 1st Place Gender/Master (40+)/Grand Master (60+), Winners will receive 1 free pizza🍕 or bottle of wine!🍷
Giveaways: Each participant will receive a custom holiday print Soo Brew pint glass.🍻
